Concrete Restoration

Site-Ex provides professional removal and reinstatement of concrete pathways, driveways, and kerbing. To ensure a high-quality finish and structural integrity, we reinstate whole panels from control joint to control joint. All works are performed in accordance with the Local Government Guidelines for Restoration & Reinstatement WA.

Concrete Finishes

We use premium premix concrete from quality-assured companies for all reinstatements. Our capabilities include:

  • Standard Grey: The traditional choice for public footpaths and kerbing.

  • Full Coloured: Concrete with integrated pigments for a modern aesthetic.

  • Patterned or Stencilled: Decorative finishes designed to match existing styles.

  • Stonewashed (Exposed Aggregate): A premium textured finish featuring natural stone.

Driveway

Accessways (Driveways & Footpaths)

We understand that restoration work can impact property access. To minimize disruption, we follow a clear coordination process:

  • Communication: After inspecting the area, we leave a contact card requesting your contact to arrange a suitable time for works.

  • Scheduling: We aim to find a schedule that works for everyone, prioritizing the needs of nightshift workers, young families, the elderly, and residents with medical issues.

  • Utility Maintenance: Driveways often house active utility services requiring repair. Public Utility Providers aim to reduce community impact, but works may occur without consultation if safety risks are deemed too high.

Concrete is the preferred material for high-traffic areas due to its exceptional durability and long-term performance. Site-Ex ensures that every reinstatement is tailored to the specific functional needs of your property's access ways.

Service & Landscape Integration

  • Verge Footpaths: For public footpaths, we focus on creating a level, trip-free surface that ensures safe passage for the community.

  • Landscape Care: Following construction, we inspect the immediate area to address impacts on surrounding reticulation, lawns, or vegetation.

  • Utility Reliability: Because driveways house critical infrastructure, our professional reinstatement ensures that utility providers can access and repair underground services with minimal long-term impact on your property’s structural layout.

Colour

Coloured Concrete

As concrete specialists, we take great care in matching existing tones. However, it is important to note that environmental factors play a major role in the final appearance.

  • Expert Matching: While we use high-quality pigments to match your driveway, natural weathering and previous sealers significantly affect the color of existing concrete over time.

  • Professional Standards: Even when sourced from the same premix supplier, new concrete will show a variance against aged surfaces; our priority is always a neat, structurally sound restoration.

  • Long-term Care: To keep your driveway looking its best, we recommend resealing every 2 to 3 years. If your surface hasn't been sealed recently, this is an excellent opportunity to have a professional contractor restore the entire area for a seamless, uniform finish.

Patterned/Stenciled

Patterned or stencilled concrete

Decorative finishes present unique challenges during the restoration process due to the specific materials used in the original installation.

  • Aged Appearance: As with all decorative finishes, a perfect match is unlikely due to the aging and weathering of the existing surface.

  • Source Information: Providing any original information regarding the colour and stencil source is highly advantageous for the matching process.

  • Best Fit Solutions: In some situations, a contrasting colour may provide a better aesthetic result than a close-but-imperfect match.

  • Regulatory Bounds: Generally, Public Utilities will only replace these surfaces "like-for-like" to the extent of the control joints.

Stonewash

Stonewash/exposed aggregate

Stonewash finishes are a premium product, and we utilize a detailed matching process to respect the original aesthetic of your property.

  • Best-Match Selection: Because aggregate mixes depend on specific stone batches, we conduct a thorough search of supplier websites and records to find the closest possible origin for your mix.

  • Adapting to Availability: If an original mix has become obsolete, our professionals will provide the "best match" currently available to ensure your driveway remains a highlight of your home.

  • Quality Execution: Due to the specialized exposing methods and the impact of weather on the curing process, we take the necessary time to ensure the texture and finish meet our professional standards.
