FAQs

Is Site-Ex a division of Water Corporation WA?

No. Site-Ex is an independent company contracted by Water Corp to undertake civil restorations. While we work closely with Water Corporation, we manage our own scheduling and operations.

We are also engaged in various Power related contracts.

Why do I need to provide my details if you already have my address?

Customers such as the Water Corporation provide us with the location of the works and a brief description, but they do not provide resident contact information. We require your details so we can contact you to discuss the specific requirements of your property. Registering with us and noting any specific issues only assists in the process.  You can register via our website form or call us directly.

If there are no issues and the reinstatement is straight forward, you do not need to contact us.

The Service Contractor told me the work would be done within a week or 2. Is this correct?

While Service Contractors may provide  estimates, the actual timeline depends on several factors that we determine once we have your details. These include our current workload, weather conditions, supplier availability, and the time it takes for you to contact us.

Your patience is appreciated while we ensure your restoration is planned correctly.

I have a "temporary" restoration already. Is the job finished?

No. Immediately after their work is complete, service contractors often place a temporary surface to ensure the area is safe and trafficable. Permanent reinstatement requires specific planning, material sourcing, and scheduling to ensure a high-quality finish. Site-Ex attends at a later date to perform this permanent restoration and ensure your property returns to its original standard.

How long does the restoration process take?

With no contact required from the resident, we aim to complete restorations within 28 business days. This period allows us to scope the site, order materials, and coordinate our crews. In most circumstances, the physical works on-site take only one or two days, depending on the scope of the restoration.

Do I need to be home when the work is being done?

In most cases, you do not need to be home as long as our team has clear access to the restoration area. We can discuss any specific needs—such as locked gates or pets—with you during our initial phone call.

Will I lose access to my driveway?

If your driveway or crossover requires restoration, you may need to park on the verge or the street until the works are completed. We discuss this with you during our communications before the job begins to ensure you have time to move your vehicles or make other arrangements.

How long before I can drive on new concrete?

24-48 hours after completion: Safe for light foot traffic.
7 days after completion: Safe for light vehicles.
7-10 days after completion: Recommended for general, everyday use.
28 days after completion: Full, maximum strength achieved.

How long has Site-Ex been reinstating ?

The entity began trading as a partnership in 1994, originally established to support the foundational Telstra and Foxtel infrastructure rollout across key Perth suburbs, including Nedlands, Subiaco, South Perth, Mirrabooka, and Padbury. This period allowed us to hone our expertise in high-standard reinstatement within established residential and commercial areas.

Due to consistent growth and an expanding workforce, the partnership was formally incorporated in 2005. Today, Site-Ex draws on over three decades of experience to deliver high-quality restoration services across the entire Perth metropolitan area, maintaining the same commitment to precision that we established during those early large-scale utility rollouts.

In the spirit of reconciliation, Site-Ex acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of Country throughout WA and their enduring connections to land, sea and community. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples today.
